FFI

FIATA FFI (Freight Forwarding Instructions) are freight forwarding instructions that concentrate all instructions given by the customer to the freight forwarder to one document. The document corresponds to the UN standards established for trade documents and can also be used in EDI data exchange. The freight forwarder gives the customer an FFI form which the latter will fill in and return to the freight forwarder, after which the freight forwarder is ready to execute the order. This prevents later misunderstandings regarding instructions.
